I think the F is the best character, you should tweak the others to follow that more. The ! is the weakest I think, there needs to be more distinction between the stem and the tittle.

I like the look of the whole thing very much though.

These are bits of university related work that I've done in the past few days.

My response to a live brief asking us to create an A2 poster to promote my art school's library - based on the ever-so-popular KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON poster and treated to look like blue screen print on brown paper.

Lovely lovely new big negs, I forgot how nice medium format is to handle. Can't wait to shoot some of the Velvia 100 and Ektachrome 100 I've got, original slides are going to be delightful to look at! These photos are what I got back from the test roll I put through my Yashica to see if it was all working properly. I was worried about the lightmete...

I don't think the gradients are on the actual work Trisme, it's just a presentation exercise to represent that the catalogue is a 3D object, not just an image on your screen.

Good design, I like the bars behind the shirts and the page layout is strong. The overall feel is very much like an older Quicksilver identity but to be honest there's nothin...

The reason a blackletter font is so decorative is because it doesn't need anything adding to it... The 3D effect and jewels make the typeface look way too hectic and almost unreadable.

Sliding Away on September 09, 2009 6:25:33 AM

I managed to dip my hand into the world of Kodachrome before it disappears forever smile I sent 3 rolls I shot on my travels away to get processed - the first one arrived yesterday so here are some of the shots off that; Chefchaouen in Morocco and Seville in Spain:

Olympus OM-2n
Kodak Kodachrome 64
