Ladies and Gentlemen,
We here at slashTHREE are proud to unveil our ninth art pack, "Order vs Chaos." This pack marks a significant achievement for the collective, as it is our first dual-themed art pack, a fact that allowed a level of diversity never before seen in the works of a slashTHREE artpack. The artists labored long and hard - even through the holiday break - to produce over eighty entries in relation to one, or both of the themes presented to them two months ago.
In releasing this pack, we would like to take the opportunity to recognize Bechira Sorin (Bechira), the featured artist for this pack. Bechira contributed four wonderful digital art submissions to this pack, as well as endless support and critique for his colleagues and we felt no better way to show our appreciation than making him our Featured Artist for "Order vs Chaos." Congratulations Bechira!
The year 2009 is set to be the dawn of a new era here at slashTHREE, starting with the expansion of our creative horizons with the dual theme. There will be many new features implemented throughout the year for your visual and interactive pleasure - you will hear about these in due time.
For now, may we present to you Order vs Chaos!
Thank you,

Imagine the future. Think not of ten minutes from now nor twenty years from now. Think of a whole millennium from now. Think of all the possibilities our ever-progressing technology may yield. Think of the conflicts that opinions and beliefs may spawn, and think of the sufferance as well as prosperity they may entail. Think of the eradication of every known disease, but think also of the effects it may have on the mind and body, whether they be helpful or harmful. slashTHREE, it's staff and it's artists proudly invite you to imagine the future along with them, with their artistic representations of what truly could be our future. Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, hold on tight because we're headed straight for the '30th Century', slashTHREE's latest exhibition!
Our latest exhibition, '30th Century', is slashTHREE's largest yet. With over forty individual artists contributing an outstanding ninety submissions, 30th Century ranks easily with the best packs slashTHREE has offered to date. Not only is the group continuing to bond in the creation of these packs, but many new artists have been brought in for this pack – whether they applied or were invited – and each one has brought with them a new style, a new twist to add to the pack. Our older artists have continued to improve, and we’re all very proud of the effort they’ve put forward to bring this pack in a new direction. Our photography section has grown enormously with a few strong additions; this pack showing our strongest photographs to date. As well, our motion and audio sections have been given a boost, with more submissions in those two sections than ever before!
Along with our release, we'd like to highlight one of our newest creative minds, Jedrzej Spychala. Jedrzej, also known as silesti, joined our team during the first week of July and has been cranking out a unique mixture of creative photography and digital abstract work. Click here to take a peak inside the mind of Jedrzej.
With the parting of Matthew T. and Sam T., the remaining administrators decided that slashTHREE needed another hand at the top tier. After a very long screening process and countless discussions, Patrick Winter also known as baKIN, was selected for the promotion. He's already started to have an impact on the staff area, and you'll soon be able to see this impact as his big ideas go live on slashTHREE - from the smallest detail to the largest. Congratulations baKIN!
Also, with the release of 30th Century, we have unveiled a new logo, created by our very own Mart Biemans (eigeni).
We hope you enjoy 30th Century and have a great day everyone!
Thank you,

Two months ago, the community at slashTHREE celebrated the release of our finest pack yet, ‘Odyssey.’ On top of that, after 6 months of hard work we finally released the newest version of the site itself, complete with new layout and many, man new features. To ‘christen’ this new-look slashTHREE, we decided that we need a new theme; one that would not only spawn many different mediums of art and style, but would inspire artists to make their own interpretations and come up with new ideas. One word came to mind: Afterlife. The name stuck, and for almost the past two months, slashTHREE’s staff and artists have been working diligently, and anticipating the release of what we believe is our finest pack yet. Ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls, we are proud to present to you; ‘Afterlife.’
‘Afterlife’ contains over seventy submissions from our group, in the form of traditional art, digital art, photography, music, and for the first time ever, a motion film. These works have been hand-picked by our artists and staff from over 180 entries, which means you can be certain you’re getting the very best slashTHREE has to offer.
With this latest release, we decided that it was necessary to offer a special mention to the very creative mind of Tomin Vladimir (known as Myaka on the forums), and acknowledge his fantastic, high-standard contributions to the pack. Tomin created an astonishing FIVE accepted pieces for this pack; three digital works, a photograph, and he was a part of the creation of slashTHREE’s first ever motion submission, collaborating with NEO to make this possible.
Also, to enjoy the fresh artwork provided by the slashTHREE team more profoundly, slashTHREE art packs are now viewable with Piclens!
