Hello ladies and gentlemen!
The slashTHREE collective would like to take this opportunity to give you all a little taste of what’s to come in the next couple of months. Firstly, we cannot thank you all enough for the support you’ve given us since the release of our new site and exhibition “Paradigm Shift”. We have been receiving unprecedented traffic and hope it continues as the collective takes major strides forward in the next couple of months.
There’s a lot of news to get through with this update. Firstly, we would like to extend our sincere, heartfelt thanks to the many different websites, blogs and publications that featured or advertised slashTHREE Version 4. The projects were featured on Behance, Abduzeedo, DeviantART, an astounding number of blogs around the Internet, in the Behance newsletter and briefly in issue 185 of Computer Arts magazine, to name a few.
Secondly, we are honored to be presenting at this year’s OFFF festival in Barcelona. A number of our Creative Directors, Administrators and artists will be attending. We will be selling a limited-edition art book at the festival, so if you find yourself in Barcelona on the 9th-11th of June, pay us a visit and be sure to snap up a copy of the art book featuring a selection of new and 'best of' work from the collective.
Thirdly, the staff is currently hard at work putting the final touches on the official slashTHREE shop which will replace the BigCartel shop we currently have. This shop will sell copies of the “Expressions” book that was released last year, individual prints from the slashTHREE artists, and prints or copies of any projects the collective undertakes in the
Fourthly, the staff are in the initial stages of setting up an official blog and periodical podcast for the collective, which will be used not only to provide the latest news and information about our artists, but to interview artists and industry leaders, host contests, and provide quick tips and tutorials.
Finally, no slashTHREE update is complete without acknowledging some newly promoted staff. We would like to extend our congratulations to Anthony Harmon, who has been promoted from Creative Director to Administrator in light of his astounding contributions to the group, especially the v4 project, and to Floris Hermsen who joins the staff team as a Moderator (a promotion from Senior Artist) in light of his astounding work in coding the website you see today.
The next few months promise to be action-packed for us here at slashTHREE, and that’s not even considering that there is, of course, a new exhibition on the way! We hope that you’ll enjoy the continued growth and development of our collective, and that we may see some of you at OFFF in June!
Sincerely,
slashTHREE Public Relations
