I've not been around for a while but did a search in case there was already a topic about this and there wasn't so here I am.
I'm a bit bored with baby forums and facebook for the time being so yeh .. decided to get back on here and sift around.
Has anyone seen the movie yet ? I'm waiting until the end of the month to see it at the local cheap arsed cinemas on the base here.
Anyhow .. I'm itching to see it.
I know one of you have read the books as that came up in my search .. .. and I also love the sig she has .
Currently I'm reading Breaking Dawn. I'm like half way through it and it's taken me 5 days to get through New Moon and Eclipse. I read Twilight around xmas time.
I love it .. completely and although not quite obsessed .. I still get on youtube to have an Edward fix and well .. the Cullen boys really do bring sexy back.
So yeh .. anyone out there who's into it ?

i read all four of the books in about a week, though i read breaking dawn right out of order to make it a bit more interesting. i was amazed at how well the writer could twist a love story into something that would actually hold my interest.
i watched the movie at an advanced screening with a friend, his girlfriend and her (all-girl) school. i do NOT suggest being in a 2 boy, 140 girl cinema for a movie like that.
it's a really good movie, i'll tell you that much. there are parts that are different between the book and the film, and I definitely wanted to headbutt anyone who said Edward was the best, or most attractive, character. i also want to headbutt whatever dumbass cast Rosalie - SHE'S MEANT TO BE STUNNING!
aside from the VERY few flaws, there are some great performances. older people would remember Peter Facinelli from Six Feet Under, and possibly Billy Brown - i'm not sure from where though.
the movie, as a whole is just excellent, and so is the series. i'm hoping Meyer will go through with Midnight Sun though ![]()

Hey cletus .. I'm well thnx .. u ?
I think Twilight is more a chick flick and the books .. well they are chicky too IMO.
I think it will be a good movie but each to their own .. as for Dark Knight, I still haven't seen it .. and funnily enough it has been 1yr since Heath Ledgers death .. was on the radio the other day that the family had "celebrated" his death .. kinda weird but I didn't catch it all.
Anyhow .. maybe your gf kakey (i think that was her name) she might be more into the Twilight thing than you :p Love between a vampire and a human ..
I might point out Twilight was the first book I had read in 8yrs so .. to carry on from there and read the rest in the series .. is amazing for me lol.
My friends who I used to live near highly recommended the series to read and as she also had encourage other friends to read Twilight etc .. I figured it must be good so gave it a whirl.
(thought I would share that bit of history lol)

Jake,
thnx for your comments.. I'm glad you liked it and being a male and all. I would have thought being in a cinema with THAT many girls would have been a thrill lol. But heck .. school girls are giggly and 'omg isn't he hot' .. type comments which I remember I used to make.
I'll have to imdb to see who Peter Facinelli is from 6 Ft Under .. I have watched that series a few times but don't know the actors names but recognise them by face.
With regards to Edward being the best looking .. well .. it's not his looks that do it for me .. it's the character .. what a girl wants kinda thing. I think the other Cullen boys are better looking .
I like Jacobs character, how it's described in the book and who plays the character in the movie .. in looks is ideal.
Oh you're in Melbourne .. I'm in Rockingham near Perth WA.

The movie sucks unless you've read the books.

btw Jake, I too hope Steph goes through with Midnight Sun. I'll have a read of what she's got online once I finish Breaking Dawn. It's a shame someone had to leak it and ruin it for her.
Circus .. it's a given books are > than movies and I'm glad I've read the books as the meaning to it all is deeper than what a movie could give.

It's not for girls, it's for anyone who's read the books or seen the movie.
Don't be afraid of chick flicks ![]()

It's funny cos when I am away from the graphics scene I don't even want to do any graphics stuff .. so I think having a foot in and seeing everyones great work .. might help.

I saw the movie tonight yaaaay. Hubby was gonna come and we were gonna drop the kids off at a friends house but he piked .. too tired from work so i went by myself. Only two guys in the cinema and number of females .. ages ranging from late teens to a grandma .
I'm glad I read the books first .. .. loved the movie .. thought Edward did a major over reaction when he first saw Bella as it seemed a better description in the book .. but still .. loved the movie ..
Now I've got Midnight Sun draft to read .. Edwards view on how he met Bella etc.
I was so engrossed in the movie I hadn't expected it to end .. lol
*sigh* I've now joined a facebook group called Life after Twilight ..
