just randomly browsing by being bored, and sorry for reviving an old thread, but it's super easy to download images that are hosted on here.. it's just a matter of knowing how to access the directories.. i'd recommend putting a password or something on the directories so we can reduce ripping. in the end, it only makes the ripper feel stupid when they can't back up the work that they falsely produce. that the pics are stored in or something. for instance, I can tell you that the submission in the latest art pack "armageddon incoming" it's use of randomization as to reduce "guessing"? i'm assuming, the file name is 0mFg7qhuNA.jpg...

don't take it the wrong way.. I just know my way around the computer o.o

Setting a password on the directories wouldn't allow a lot of the features we use in the submission area. Most rippers aren't smart enough to know how to bypass the image securities we have set up at the moment. And even if they are, in most cases they'll figure out how to get what they want. All the images displayed are low resolution and aren't usable printing wise (where most of the $ is). Even if we tightened up on security hardcore it's rather useless because a lot of artists here submit their art to personal portfolios and other artistic websites where no security measures are taken to prevent art theft.

ripping is just one of the many fine things in life that we can do nothing to fully prevent, just another reason to better incorporate the s3 logo into your piece when you can instead of at the corner where it can be cropped out of frame.
