OMG lol number one is amazing, how did you get a shot of a bee flying right at you in perfect focus?
The good thing about prime telephotos is that the AF is super quick but it can get confuse sometimes. I use 100mm /2 non macro.
The technique is simple, set the point of Af where you would like to focus, this way its easier for the camera and you. Then find a nice place with the bee on the flower. Once the bee has finish doing its stuff, it will take off. Right when its about to take off, just snap. So basically, unlikely you will know what is coming out of the picture.
But I really like talking photos of insects in action. It just makes you happy when you get the right shot. I think this isn't difficult, but need more patience. It all goes with the practice and anyone can do this at their back yard. I don't have a garden at home and the weather here is different.

Very nice shots
Both are dynamic and have great colors. You must have a hell of a camera to be able to take a bee flying like that without any blur ![]()
