On a more serious note: no, we're not "fucked"--that's the type of pessimism that doesn't lead anywhere. Also, what's so wrong with Obama's breadth of experience? I mean, look at McCain's "experience": some time as a presumed war hero (which has been called into question, though you can't trust the media these days), more time being a MAVERICK, and now his long involvement in politics qualifies him more so than Obama to fix the economy and the war in Iraq? Come on, I think that experience is secondary in this election to what a candidate promises to do. For example, the last presidential debate: although McCain repeatedly scolded Obama for calling him Bush, he didn't argue (or wasn't given the time to argue) the fact that his economic policies were the same as those of Bush. So, the McCain supporters in this thread--do you really want eight more years of Bush economic policy? No, we don't, and neither do you if you want to get anything done. At the very least, we need someone who has the possibility of reforming the country, and Obama is that person (look at Colin Powell's endorsement of Obama). He is our best shot at this reform.
Aside from the primary issues being argued in this thread (economy, war in Iraq), the issue of education is where McCain (actually, Phalin) falters. It says here that Palin thinks fruit fly research is a waste of time and money. Just imagine the repercussions if this moron is elected: advances in science/technology would be halted due to a complete lack of proper science education, and the U.S. would just be full of dumbasses (I'm aware of the U.S.'s reputation in this regard). Not to mention that the entire scientific community would be outraged.
On a final note, Obama is not a terrorist. You're an ignorant, racist bastard if you believe that.

@ NuclearTide: He's not a terrorist, but the fact that he likes to hang around and receive money from a domestic terrorist really doesn't help him out. It really does bug me when people label anyone who has something against Obama a racist.
On a more serious note, just to play a little devil's advocate; you argue against McCain and his economic policies -- are you in favor of the plans that wreak of socialism that Obama wants to put into effect?

face it, obama is a socialist just like every other liberal. what good has socialism done for anything? its capitalism that advances our species, not socialism. socialism leads to communism which is a complete failure and if you say otherwise you don't deserve to even study politics.
Okay first of all Capitalism has numerous problems with it just like any other system of government. The only reason the US is capitalist is because it has always been capitalist, and the system in place prevents anything else from arising. Just because we are a capitalist country doesn't mean it's the best way to go (not saying socialism is). Keep an open mind man, there are always more ways than one to do things.

I'm a little late jumping into the conversation, but I will say that this

is one of the most ignorant reasons I've ever heard from anyone for leaving a country.
I will also say that, if I could vote, I'd vote for McCain. I'm not a die hard for either, but I don't like a lot more of Obama's policies. I don't care for his socialistic ideas. I'm not saying that capitalism by all means is the best, I mean, it's what got us where we are, but I'm not one for socialism either. My biggest thing with Obama, and you can go after me about it or not, I don't care, but 3 years in the Senate does not make you qualified to run one of the biggest and still, although hanging on by a thread, one of the most powerful countries in the world. I mean, Palin as V.P., she is inexperienced, although I do like her in some aspects, but the way I look at it is like this. Obama = inexperienced leader if he's elected. If McCain is, Palin is a step away from leading. So, you get a for sure inexperience or a chance for inexperience. And I know Obama has Biden for experience in some areas he's not, but Biden is too much of an arrogant windbag.
That's my two cents. Heh.

Bam..Bam..Obama, waste of discussing BTW, this is good enough for knowing people's views on who should be the President. But, Debating is just out of existence. Some say it's good, yes it might be, but for no longer as there's only one day to go.
Wait! This day is the D-Day!

Well, the official D-Day won't be till January 20th of next year. We're still stuck with Bush till then. >.<
