Hey everybody!

Im working on a school assignment where were creating a movie poster for the film Typeface by Kartemquin.
Would be nice to get some feedback on this one. I tried to make it somewhat old school but not completely hence the "3d" cardboard effect.

I like the typo but not "the "3d" cardboard effect."

I'd remove that, you dont need it to make the poster look old.
In terms of the poster itself, I think that the typo needs to be less faded out (if that makes sense).

Okay, I will reconsider the 3d cardboard effect. As for the hard to read text, its pretty hard to change as Ive used a acetone printing technique then scanned it and worked on it in photoshop. But I will see what I can do with some curves or levels maybe smile Thanks for the advice,

Well the main objective of a poster is that it is readable and attracts people to it, it needs to be readable in just 1 second and this one kinda failed on that part. I dont want to spend 5 mins trying to read a poster wink

As for the overall look I think you did well!

i also agree, the 3d cardboard effect is used a little too much these days, and anything with sun bursts. other than that looks good!
