I really dig the whole style you got there The bird-snake-eye thing looks awesome. The only things that bugs me a little bit is the shadow on the clothes, it makes it look a bit flat. But maybe thats just me..

Yeah,it's a tad flat,but it's negligible.You have done a great job,altough I'm not a big fan of horror/nightmare/dark themes.

it's nice but...i can't really think of a way of saying this without offending you...it looks like you did this more as a tutorial than a piece of art. it just feels a bit lifeless. it needs more grit to be something evil, everything just looks too clean. there are some nice touches like the tail and the girl herself but it just feels a bit tame for the subject matter. i'm not denying you've got the skills, you just need to think more about developing the theme beyond what you've got so far.

after looking at it i think it's the lighting you need to look at first. getting the basics like lighting correct will give you a good based to build on
