Second one its not bad, I dont agree with Gucken at all but its ok.
The first piece I am guessing you want serious feedback so have a sit and keep in mind this is constructive crit, although it will probably hurt ![]()
*Dont use ready made stock planets.
*Dont use Hubble images.
*Dont use ready made starfields.
*Dont use premade cheezy star fx
*Less is More.
*Keep in mind the distances in space, dont treat a several lightyears wide nebula as a tabletop object, nor a gas giant as a tennis ball, they dont receive or emit light in the same way our brain is used to look at.
*Work on a compo sketch before you throw everything but the kitchen sink in there.
*Color compo and feel are the most important tools the space artist has work at them.

first one is kinda chaotic and some of the vector effects look strange, also I agree with ed about the premade stuff. Space art is all about creating yourself. ![]()
The feeling of the second one is really nice though.
