What about a degree [MASTER] ?

Hi all.

Ok, I'll go very fast into the subject.

I'm looking for some motiongraphics/VFX school to have a master degree. I finished graphics design and visual communication; and well... I have to continue my sducation to -not to- go to army.

This is it, shortly.

Waiting for suggestions.

Are you saying you want to go to university to do moving image?

Then apply somewhere and good luck.

Re: What about a degree [MASTER] ?

No, it doesnt.

Actully and sadly, things work a little different here in turkey.

If you're over 18(legal age), and you are not studying(education) you have to go to army for 1 year.
I finished university, so I have to study more to -not to- go to army. That's why I'm looking for a degree actully.

Then why "a ogood school" ?

If I'll spend this time, why not good ?

Re: What about a degree [MASTER] ?

Ah I do not think this is something-oldschool Jurgt !
I mean, this is some kind of protection.

I hate army because they're going to cut my hair. And If I will become somehthing, I GOT TO become it with my hair smile

I know this sounds funny but, well. I'll continue my education till I become something or someone known in the industry I want to be in. And till that happens, I'll have to continue my education.

About the army, and "being oldschool" idea, well... Think of the countries that have the real military power, you'll see what I mean wink

I do think many paid soldier wont risk his life when they're face to face with these "oldschool" countries, because they know that these oldschool ones are not getting money, they just want to "win" the war.

Well. About war, I think this is the place where things start to go absurd.

Lets be peacefull. We do not need it, do we ?

Re: What about a degree [MASTER] ?

Well, Im living in the Netherlands and I find the army fascinating, though we don't really need such a big army. We are more a country with specialists. A big army won't work for us. If they say everyone should go into the army again like in you country, I bet we get a massive revolt here.

Re: What about a degree [MASTER] ?

Same in Mexico, if you are 18 you must spend one year on the army. It's called "Military Service"

Re: What about a degree [MASTER] ?

I don't think anyone forced to be in the army would risk their life either xD Not to mention that for example the US has many patriots when it comes to soldiers etc so they would actually be much more willing to risk their life than any soldier who was forced to be in the army...

Anyway, maybe u can find something here:
http://www.gradschools.com/Subject/Grap … gn/94.html

and like bzez said the university in San Francisco is very good from what I've heard
